We are seeking an experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team at MYXA' in Melbourne's western suburbs, VIC. In this casual role, you will provide personalised support and care to individuals living with a disability. You will work closely with our participants to help them achieve their goals and live independently within the community.

What you'll be doing

Providing compassionate and individualised support to participants, including assistance with daily living tasks, personal care, and community engagement

Implementing therapeutic and behavioural support strategies, with a focus on promoting participants independence and wellbeing

Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement participant-centred support plans

Maintaining accurate records and documentation to ensure high-quality service delivery

Advocating for participants rights and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering setting

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience providing disability support, including forensic experience.

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field

Demonstrated understanding of person-centred approaches and the ability to tailor support to individual needs





Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on promoting client independence

Commitment to upholding the rights and dignity of individuals with disability

Current First Aid and CPR certificates, and a valid driver's licence
