We have an exciting opportunity for a driven Branch Manager to join a dynamic and market leading Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics Solutions Provider.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be experienced in customs clearance and/or freight forwarding methods and practices. This includes accounting methods and practices, Customs Law, sales and commercial negotiation techniques, and fulfilling customer requirements. You will run a cost‑effective environment and operate in accordance with the company policy, mission, vision and standards. Key functions of the role include:

- Ensure the smooth and productive flow of customs clearance transactions through the business units
- Make sure all aspects of the customer's special instructions and/or SOPs are fulfilled
- Provide guidance, motivation and support to all staff within the business unit
- Delegate duties to the business unit members,



ensuring adequate follow‑up procedures are met
- Ensure that any opportunities for new business or extension are acted upon
- Resolve disputes and issues related to service
- Establish a client visitation program for all business unit accounts
- Demonstrate strong awareness and understanding of financial management and cost controls
- Produce a monthly report to be discussed at monthly management meetings

Qualifications

- University degree or industry‑related qualifications (preferred but not essential)
- Minimum 5 years experience with Branch Management or Leadership role
- Quarantine accreditation or similar experience
- Experience with CargoWise preferred
- Knowledge of customs clearance procedures
- Good technology skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office etc.
- Ability to manage, motivate & develop individuals
