The Opportunity

SEE Civil is calling for expressions of interest from Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers to join the Infrastructure team across the Gold Coast and Ipswich regions for upcoming project work. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of project delivery. From planning and coordinating key construction activities to monitoring technical performance on site, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring projects run safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. You’ll take ownership of quality assurance, project administration and financial reporting, while working closely with site teams to keep programs on track and milestones achieved.

Responsibilities will include:

- Responsible and accountable for the effective programming and construction methodologies of all site works.
- Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation, specifications, regulations and standards.
- Responsible and accountable for the daily programming of site works and the coordination of employees, subcontractors, procurement, plant and equipment required for the projects.
- Provide advice, support and assistance to project staff and clients in relation to any technical and/or complex problems that may arise during project life.
- Responsible for the overall financial performance of the projects.
- Responsible and accountable to maintain the quality system, appropriate registers and ensure all relevant quality documentation is completed as required by the IMS and contractual obligations.




- Responsible and accountable to review ITP’s and construction procedures with the Site Supervisor with a view to ensuring their satisfactory completion and filing.
- Assist the project team in the preparation of the work method statements and other documentation as required in the project.
- Provide design and construction documentation as required by the project, including conducting site surveys and inspections.
- Conduct technical inspections of structures, formations and other civil elements of a project as required.

Essential Skills and Attributes:

- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil);
- Background in Engineering, Construction and Delivery processes and experience in actual project delivery;
- Proven management skills, practices and planning ability;
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks and maintaining focus on priorities;
- Highly effective skills in negotiating, evaluating and administering contracts, specifications, Australian standards;
- Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications;
- Highly effective planning, organising and problem‑solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others; and
- High attention to detail.
