We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at the Port of Brisbane, Fisherman Islands.

About Us

Established in North Queensland, we are a customer-focused stevedoring and logistics provider with clients in mining and port operations, and are part of an expanding group of Australian companies. We are a niche operator, and a small team, handling multiple cargoes from containers to bulk and break bulk, with a fresh approach to operations.

About the Position

This position will directly support the operations team, providing stevedoring services including break bulk and containers. This role entails practical, hands-on duties, in addition to providing professional advice within a broad range of health and safety functions including:

- Risk Management;
- Incident Investigation;
- Fatigue Management;
- Occupational Hygiene;
- Injury Management;
- Ergonomics; and
- Management of Change.

About You

Your previous experience of at least two years in a Health & Safety Advisory position within logistics (preferably stevedoring)



or heavy industry/high risk environments is essential. Ideally, you will have sound knowledge of port operations and associated activities. This will be supplemented by your tertiary qualification relevant to Occupational Health and Safety, or relevant experience.

You enjoy rolling up your sleeves and immersing yourself into both the physical and practical aspects of the field, as well as carrying out administrative tasks as required. You have the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.

Investigation and auditing qualifications will be advantageous.
