We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Legal team at Smart on a 6 month Max term Contract. This is an amazing opportunity for a law student who is currently completing their degree and wants exposure to commercial contracts, legal operations, legal technology, and stakeholder engagement in a large Australian organisation.
You'll work alongside experienced legal professionals, gaining practical experience that complements your studies while developing skills that will set you up for a successful legal career.
What you'll be doing
As a member of our Legal team, you'll support the delivery of legal services across the business by:
- Preparing, reviewing, formatting and coordinating legal documents.
- Providing legal and administrative support to the Legal team.
- Assisting with contract administration and maintaining contract records.
- Supporting legal requests and workflow management through LawVu.
- Assisting with client contract reviews and contract issuance activities.
- Responding to internal stakeholder queries with guidance from the Legal team.
- Helping improve legal processes and supporting key legal projects.
- Building your knowledge across a range of commercial legal areas.
We're looking for someone who:
- Is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws or related legal qualification.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Can manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Enjoys solving problems and taking initiative.
- Is confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Is curious about technology, AI and finding smarter ways to work.
- Enjoys building relationships and providing exceptional service
