About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant Assistant to join our team at our Sydney office on a full-time or part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone beginning their accounting career or looking to develop their bookkeeping and accounting skills in a supportive workplace. You will work closely with our experienced team, gaining hands-on experience in a range of accounting functions whilst contributing to the delivery of quality financial services to our clients.

What you'll be doing

Processing invoices, receipts and other financial documents accurately and efficiently

Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts





Entering financial transactions into accounting software and maintaining comprehensive records

Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports under supervision

Supporting the month-end and year-end close procedures

Following up on outstanding invoices and assisting with accounts receivable functions

Performing general administrative duties related to accounting operations

What we're looking for

A relevant accounting qualification or currently undertaking an accounting qualification (such as bachelor, CPA, CA or similar)

Familiarity with accounting software Xero and Excel

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and general accounting concepts

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Candidate will need to be able to speak English and Chinese.

Prior experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferred
