Windscreen repair & installation technician

Total Auto Glass is seeking a skilled and experienced Windscreen Repair & Installation Technician to join our team in Brighton, Victoria. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and integrity of vehicles for our valued customers. As a technician in this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality windscreen repairs and installations, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and customer expectations. This position is essential to our service delivery and contributes directly to our reputation for excellence in automotive care.

Key responsibilities

- Repair and replace vehicle windscreens, side windows and rear windows to the highest standards
- Assess damage to glass and determine whether repair or replacement is the appropriate solution
- Apply adhesive sealants and ensure proper installation of windscreens and windows
- Operate specialised tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and customer satisfaction is achieved
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and installations completed
- Communicate with customers regarding their windscreen needs and provide professional advice
- Keep work area clean, organised and safe in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain knowledge of different vehicle makes and models and their specific windscreen requirements

What were looking for

- Formal qualifications or certification in automotive glass repair and installation, or proven equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a windscreen technician in a professional automotive environment
- Strong technical knowledge of glass repair and replacement procedures and best practices
- Proficiency in using windscreen repair equipment,



tools and sealants
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Valid driver's licence and ability to travel to customer locations if required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to health and safety standards and procedures
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights or in various positions
