Vehicle Dealers International Pty Ltd (VDI) is the sole Australian distributor for Yutong buses.

In Western

Australia, VDI operates both the Perth IVECO dealership and Yutong Bus Centre WA, delivering industry-leading sales, service and parts support.

We are seeking an experienced Spare Parts Interpreter, preferably with a background in the Heavy Vehicle Industry but would not exclude anyone with a strong mechanical or related parts background. The core purpose of the Spare Parts Interpreter role is to consistently delight and satisfy our customers through the timely interpretation and provision of their parts needs – both internally and externally. We operate Pentana/ERA systems and sound knowledge of these is advantageous.

This is a hands-on role, working closely inside our Parts Department servicing both our internal workshop and external customer base.

You’ll Be Responsible For

- Develop strong customer relationships both internally and externally.

- Provide parts advice and support to customers and workshops both internally and externally

- Prepare customer quotations, estimates & transactions

- Investigate any customer issues and quickly resolve them

- Liaise with service, sales, and workshop staff, especially in the pro-active provision of parts

- Raise purchase orders and associated parts administration within VDI’s systems

- Manage parts inventory,



including monitoring and pro-active resolution of supply risks

- Warehouse duties pick, pack, despatch and receive where necessary, including forklift

- Respond to and process incoming phone, email & face to face inquiries

- Maintaining a high level of accuracy in parts interpretation and processing orders

- Accurately perform parts stocktakes

- Ensuring orders are processed and dispatched to clients in a timely manner (Remove)

- Arrange shipment of orders with local couriers (Remove)

- Other duties as assigned

Skills And Experience

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably working with Pentana systems preferred

- Working knowledge of parts and accessories for heavy duty vehicles

- Ability to work autonomously whilst actively supporting the broader team

- High attention to detail

- Parts stocktake and control experience

- High level focus on consistently delivering outstanding customer service

- Knowledge of freight processes for delivery of freight to customers

- Secure and compliant operation of forklift at all times
