We have various roles in a variety of wards. Our volunteers provide non-clinical support to patients and also assist the ward staff with a variety of tasks. The role Volunteers can play an significant and active role in various ways:
- Talking to patients about current events and surroundings.
- Assisting patients with completion of menus.
- Supporting patient with activities that they enjoy based on their preferences.
- Engaging patients in social interaction as well as diversional activities.
- Assist ward staff and ward clerk with miscellaneous tasks that may include:
- Photocopying - Collation of Admin packs - Restocking PPE/shelves/trolleys Need to know Training will be provided. Shift times vary. To enhance healthcare services by coordinating dedicated volunteers who provide support, comfort, and care across Northern Adelaide.
