Cyber Security Analyst – Vulnerability Management

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a well-established enterprise Cyber Security team on an initial three-month contract.

The role will focus on vulnerability management across a complex technology setting. You will work closely with infrastructure, cloud and application teams to identify, assess and support the remediation of security vulnerabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level Cyber Security professional looking to develop their experience within a mature enterprise security environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform vulnerability assessments using Tenable.io or Tenable.sc.
- Analyse vulnerability scan results and prioritise remediation activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and application teams to coordinate remediation.
- Track outstanding vulnerabilities and ensure remediation activities are progressing.
- Validate remediation outcomes through re-scanning and reporting.
- Assist with vulnerability reporting, metrics and dashboards.
- Maintain accurate vulnerability records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with broader cyber security operational activities when required.

Skills and Experience





- One to three years’ experience in a Cyber Security Analyst, Security Operations or Vulnerability Management role.
- Hands-on experience with Tenable.io, Tenable.sc or Nessus.
- A good understanding of vulnerability management processes.
- Knowledge of CVEs, CVSS scoring and common security vulnerabilities.
- Exposure to Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft environments.
- A basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS and firewalls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical stakeholders.
- Exposure to Azure or other Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Experience with Microsoft Defender or related Microsoft security products.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform.
- Experience supporting vulnerability remediation activities.
- Security certifications such as Security+, SC-900 or AZ-500.
