Position:Inclusion Support Assistant (Primary and Secondary)

Contract:Fixed-term, part-time (school hours), term-time only

Appointment Dates:Commencing as soon as possible

Hours:31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as per the duty roster

Position Overview

Brisbane Montessori School invites applications from qualified Inclusion Student Support Assistants for a part-time, fixed-term, term-time-only position for the remainder 2026 school year, with the possibility of ongoing opportunities in 2027. The role is 31.25 hours per week across five days: Tuesdays from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm, and 8:15 am to 3:00 pm on all other days.

We warmly welcome applicants who are dynamic, engaging, and committed to supporting students with a positive and flexible approach. A willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy is essential. Experience in social–emotional student support, implementing social skills programs, and working with students with learning difficulties will be highly regarded.

- Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent.
- Current Positive Notice Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
- Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
- Experience working with children.
- Montessori qualifications are preferred; however, a willingness to embrace the Montessori philosophy would be considered.

- Montessori Independent Toddler Community (MITC) 15 months – 3-year-olds
- Children's House (3 – 6-year-olds)
- Lower Primary (6 – 9-year-olds)
- Upper Primary (9 – 12-year-olds)
- Middle School & Year 10 (12 – 16-year-olds)
- Senior School Years 11 & 12 (16 – 18-year-olds) (Opening in 2027)
