Lead environmental restoration projects across South Brisbane:

Bushworx, part of UDL Group, is looking for an experienced Environmental Team Leader to lead field crews delivering bush regeneration, revegetation, weed management and environmental rehabilitation projects across South Brisbane.

Based from our Bushworx office in Redland Bay, you will coordinate people, equipment and materials while ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently and to the required environmental and quality standards.

The role:

As Environmental Team Leader, you will lead UDL and Bushworx field staff working across environmental projects and maintenance programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

Leading daily field operations across bush regeneration, revegetation, weed management, natural-area maintenance and environmental rehabilitation projects

Supervising employees and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification

Planning daily activities and coordinating labour, equipment,



materials and site access

Conducting site inspections and monitoring progress against project programs, budgets and quality requirements

Reading and working from project specifications, plans and drawings

Liaising with clients, contractors, local authorities and other stakeholders

Coordinating with traffic-management providers where required

Conducting daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings

Maintaining accurate site records, including completed works, labour, materials, incidents and project progress

Identifying site risks and implementing appropriate controls

Maintaining strong quality control and minimising defects and rework

Supporting the development of team members and promoting a positive, accountable workplace culture

About You:

You are an experienced and practical team leader who can organise people, solve problems and maintain high standards in the field.

To be considered, you will need:

Demonstrated experience leading field-based environmental, bush regeneration or natural-area maintenance teams

At least two years’ relevant experience in environmental management, natural-resource management, bush regeneration, ecological restoration, vegetation management or a related field

Sound knowledge of Southeast Queensland native plants and environmental weed species

Experience delivering a range of environmental or horticultural maintenance works

Strong planning, communication and people-leadership skills





The ability to manage competing priorities and meet project deadlines

A commitment to safety, environmental compliance and quality workmanship

A current Construction Industry White Card

Full Australian working rights

The following would be highly regarded:

Certificate III or IV in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, or an equivalent qualification

Experience delivering local government, infrastructure or environmental-management contracts

Agricultural chemical application accreditation

First aid and traffic-management qualifications

A medium or heavy rigid driver’s licence
