WHAT WE OFFER:
- Base Salary: AUD 43,868.00
- Part-time and Hybrid work arrangement (1 day onsite per week)

Note: Applicants must have unrestricted AU work rights and currently reside near or in the location advertised.
- Fortnightly and Monthly payroll processing across AU, NZ and UK regions
- Basic understanding and interpretation of AU, NZ and UK employee taxes.
- Liaising with HR to set up accounts for new starters and deactivating accounts for team members exiting the organization.
- Fortnightly processing of payroll for Philippine-based contractor payments including commission calculations, and processing pay for other global contractors.
- Reconciliation of contractor wages in Xero; ensuring accurate general ledger and Cost Centre coding.
- Reconciliation of PAYG and Superannuation payments.
- To assist employees with payroll-related queries or issues and escalate as required.
- To assist with general finance functions including preparation of payroll journals.
- Provide administrative support to the HR and IT teams, including onboarding, offboarding,
user account administration, and other related administrative duties as required.
- To maintain a high standard of professionalism
- Contributing to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
- Always maintains a positive, helpful, and professional attitude.
- To work independently and can work collaboratively within the group.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidate must have at least 3-5 years of experience in payroll, preferably in a small to medium-sized business.
- Previous experience and understanding of the payroll process are essential.
- Must have high attention to detail
- Experience in Microsoft Office programs and XERO.
- Being able to handle a large workload and communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure that all tasks are completed
- Experience with computerized accounts packages such as Xero – other systems training will be provided
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work
- Good organizational skills are required as is an ability to work independently, seeking guidance when needed.
- Ability to work under strict time constraints, particularly fortnightly and monthly payrolls.
- Efficient and accurate data entry skills and excellent attention to detail are required
- Discretion as there will likely be sensitive information and figures discussed.
