Wenona is seeking an organised and skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. The role is responsible for processing the payroll for all staff members within the School. This is achieved through a broad range of payroll support to meet the needs and functions of the Finance team. The role provides the opportunity for process improvement, driving efficiency and accuracy within the team, whilst contributing to a positive internal culture where service, integrity, kindness and humour are valued. The Position The Payroll
Officer plays an important role providing efficient, informative and timely payroll support to all staff members. It focuses on processing end to end payroll, as well as reporting, calculating and attending to various payroll inquiries.
The Payroll
Officer will work closely and collaboratively with the Finance team in the Business Office.
Key priorities for the role include:
· Processing end to end payroll processes. · Collecting, calculating, and entering data to keep data updated.
· Verifying calculations of pay, entitlements, or disbursements prior to processing.
· Support the wider HR team with data and reporting activities. · Providing exceptional customer service to staff in a professional and timely manner. · Interpreting and applying the Independent Schools NSW Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement. · Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of policies, procedures, and legislative/regulatory requirements.
· Maintaining strict confidentiality when dealing with payroll information.
· Supporting the finance team with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties during busy periods. This is a permanent part-time position with a 0.8 FTE.

You To be successful in this role, you will bring relevant payroll experience and systems knowledge. The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will drive efficiency and accuracy within the Finance team, whilst embodying the values of the School, and promoting Wenona in a positive manner.
