Edith Cowan University
Are you ready to belong to a dynamic community where courage, creativity, and optimism are essential elements of our DNA? At ECU we’re inspired by the incredible achievements of Edith Cowan, the first woman elected to an Australian parliament and a lifelong champion of education. Empowered by her legacy, we’re united in our vision to lead the sector in educational experience and expand our impact through world-class research.
Embrace an opportunity to become part of something extraordinary.
People and Culture
People and Culture is the service centre dedicated to empowering the talent and potential of our people. We champion the experience of every employee and work to maintain our thriving work culture and excellent reputation in the higher education sector.
About the Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced P&C; Business Partner to join our People Partnerships team, working closely with senior leaders to provide strategic, end-to-end HR advice across the full employee lifecycle.
While this is a true generalist BP role, we're particularly keen to hear from candidates with robust ER case management experience and a knack for coaching leaders through difficult people situations. In return,
you'll join a genuinely collaborative team that gives you the autonomy to own your portfolio and partner with the business your way.
About you
You're an experienced HR generalist who thrives on variety and genuinely enjoys partnering with senior leaders. You bring solid ER case management skills and a coaching mindset, comfortable guiding leaders through tricky people situations with confidence and care. You work collaboratively, take ownership of your portfolio, and bring sound judgement and commercial thinking to everything you do.
Higher education experience is a bonus, but not essential, we're far more interested in your generalist skillset and how you partner with people.
Importantly, you will demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University’s values.
