About The
Role
Reporting to the Group Executive People & Culture, you'll partner with the Operations leadership team to deliver the people agenda across a diverse operational portfolio. Based in Melbourne, you'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders, supporting workforce planning, organisational change and people initiatives across our pathology operations.
This role has one direct report and works closely with the broader People & Culture team. With a strong in office presence, you'll build trusted relationships with leaders and frontline teams while supporting transformation initiatives and business outcomes. Occasional interstate travel is required.
Key responsibilities: Partner with executive and operational leaders on workforce planning, organisational design and change initiatives
Act as a trusted advisor on people strategy,
leadership effectiveness and business transformation
Lead change management activities that support recent ways of working and cultural transformation
Coach leaders on performance management, accountability, employee engagement and people leadership
Drive workforce planning, role design and productivity initiatives that support operational efficiency
Partner with Finance and Operations leaders to review workforce data, monitor performance trends and identify improvement opportunities
Provide advice on industrial relations matters and support enterprise bargaining and workforce consultation activities
Support capability uplift, succession planning and talent development initiatives across the portfolio
Build strong relationships with frontline teams and leaders to understand operational challenges, influence change and support successful outcomes
Deliver annual People & Culture programs and strategic initiatives that support the broader business strategy About You
We're seeking an experienced People & Culture professional with a strong track record supporting complex operational environments through change and transformation. Commercially astute and highly credible, you're confident partnering with senior leaders, influencing diverse stakeholder groups and delivering practical people solutions.
With a practical, hands-on approach, you're equally comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level. Your experience, judgement and resilience enable you to build credibility quickly and influence positive outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
Significant experience in senior People & Culture partnering roles, preferably in operational, technical, scientific or highly regulated environments.
Proven experience leading organisational and cultural transformation, including significant change management initiatives
Strong understanding of employment legislation,
industrial relations and enterprise agreements Key Skills and Attributes Strong commercial acumen and change management capability
Exceptional interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
Strategic thinker with a practical, hands-on approach to delivery
Sound judgement and the confidence to operate autonomously
