Job Description

AESTEC Services is currently seeking experienced and qualified Diesel Fitters to join our highly skilled and qualified mechanical maintenance team in servicing and maintaining our vehicles and equipment. AESTEC Services is an Australian owned Civil Construction and Maintenance Company, based in Gladstone Queensland. Leading in our field, we have several maintenance & project contracts in majority of Gladstone's large industrial companies.

- Running diagnostic tests on vehicles and equipment Analyzing diagnostic test results Resolve operational or technical problems to minimise interruptions resulting from breakdowns/ failures.
- Repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components,



referring to service manuals as needed Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts Diagnose and test parts with the assistance of computers
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance Performing preventative maintenance on service vehicles and equipment Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist Maintaining a parts inventory Ensuring the cleanliness of the workshop and worksite

Requirements:

- Trade qualification Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
- Good IT and diagnostic skills Physically fit Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
- Valuable interpersonal skills Excellent verbal communication skills Good organization skills
- A minimum of three years post trade experience in the same field

Salary: Between $85,000 and $90,000 per annum + Super
