The Opportunity

We're looking for a qualified Maintenance Carpenter who can confidently run their own jobs while leading an apprentice or labourer.

This is a depot-to-depot position, with all employees commencing and finishing each day from our Clontarf depot. Company vehicles, tools and equipment are provided during work hours.

You'll work closely with our Works Coordinator and Supervisor, who manage scheduling, purchasing and administration, allowing you to focus on delivering quality work on site.

- Competitive hourly rate of $38–$45 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

Working across a variety of maintenance and minor construction projects, your responsibilities will include:

- Running your own maintenance and carpentry jobs from start to finish

- Leading and mentoring an apprentice or labourer

- General property maintenance and insurance repairs

- Carpentry including doors, windows, fencing, decks and minor building works

- Minor concreting, plastering, painting and finishing works

- Working closely with the Works Coordinator and Supervisor to deliver projects efficiently

- Liaising professionally with clients on site

- Coordinating material requirements with the office

- Completing site documentation and maintaining high safety standards

About You

To be successful, you will have:

- Trade qualification in Carpentry

- Experience running your own jobs with minimal supervision

- Confidence leading or mentoring an apprentice or labourer

- Current White Card

- Current Australian Driver Licence

- Strong communication and customer service skills

- A commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety

- Full Australian working rights

- Willingness to travel occasionally for work when required

- Excavator or Civil Construction experience

- Asbestos Removal ticket

- Experience working on government, insurance or commercial maintenance projects
