Financial Functional Consultant (Workday)

- Opportunity to lead and support a major finance transformation from Microsoft Great Plains to Workday Financial Management
- Work closely with finance stakeholders across Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines

What we need from you:

- Proven experience delivering Workday Financials implementations or finance transformation projects
- Robust knowledge of Workday Finance modules, including Chart of Accounts, Cost Centres, Procurement, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting
- Experience providing training, workshops, coaching and change management support to business users
- Ability to identify process gaps and recommend future-state finance processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skill

Role Description:

- Act as the Workday Finance Subject Matter Expert throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Provide hands-on training, demonstrations, coaching and advisory support to finance and business users
- Assist stakeholders in understanding Workday capabilities and identifying process improvements
- Support change management activities and user adoption initiatives
- Work closely with project teams to ensure successful delivery of the finance transformation program

What you'll be doing?

- Configure Workday financial structures including Chart of Accounts, Cost Centres, Approval Authorities and Workflows




- Design and implement Procurement and Accounts Payable processes from requisition through to payment
- Support integration with Australian banking platforms for payments and bank reconciliations
- Enable consolidated financial reporting through Workday, Power BI and Microsoft 365
- Establish and test annual budget upload processes from Snowflake or similar platforms
- Configure secure and simplified Workday access for approvers, invoice submitters and report users
- Support migration, validation and reconciliation of historical finance data from Outstanding Plains
- Define governance, support and ongoing maintenance responsibilities post go-live
- Participate in testing, user acceptance activities, training sessions and cutover planning

Your Skills:

- Demonstrated experience in finance system migrations and data validation activities
- Experience integrating Workday with banking platforms and third-party reporting tools
- Knowledge of Power BI, Microsoft 365 and data integration processes
- Strong workshop facilitation, training and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and provide practical recommendations throughout the transformation journey
