About the role: Step into a hands-on leadership role where you will lead a skilled pipe crew delivering essential water and wastewater infrastructure across the Moreton Bay region. As a Pipe Layer / Crew Leader, you will take ownership of daily site operations, coordinating crews and resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Working alongside your team, you will oversee every stage of construction - from site set-out, deep excavations, and calculating grades and levels through to installing water and wastewater infrastructure and pits, completing live connections to the existing network, and restoring sites. You'll also coordinate the installation of shoring systems for deep excavations while mentoring crew members, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving high performance on site.

You will bring
- Proven experience in water, wastewater or civil construction.
- Experience installing water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Experience completing live connections to existing water and wastewater networks (desirable, not essential).
- Experience installing water and wastewater pits.
- Experience calculating grades and levels.
- Experience working in deep excavations and installing shoring systems.
- Proven leadership and crew supervision experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
- Robust understanding of WHS, environmental and compliance requirements.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience using field technology, asset management systems or GIS (desirable).
- Construction White Card.
- Current MR (desirable) and C Class Driver's Licences.
