Universal Welding services is looking for experienced Welders/Fabricators/Boilermakers to join our growing workshop team.
We are a family-owned business specialising in structural steel fabrication and installation, delivering high‑quality work for commercial and industrial projects across South East Queensland.
The role
This is a workshop-based position involving fabrication and welding of structural steel components according to drawings and specifications
Responsibilities:
Fabrication and welding of structural steel and general metal components
Reading and interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications
Set up and operate hand and power tools common to the steel fabrication and welding.
Perform physical laboring tasks associated with welding and fabricating work
Maintaining safety standards and a clean,
organised work area.
Other duties as directed.
Requirements:
2+ year experience in a similar role
Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Strong attention to details and workmanship
Reliable and punctual with a valuable work ethic
Ability to work safely in a workshop workplace
Forklift, dogging or EWP licenses.

Hours:
Generally 6:00am to 2:30pm Monday - Thursday with a half hour lunch break
Early finish on a Friday 6:00am to 12:00pm with no lunch break
