We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Tax Transformation Analyst to join a high-performing tax team

This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional tax compliance into a role where you'll leverage technology, automation and AI to improve tax processes, enhance reporting capabilities and drive operational excellence.

Working closely with Tax, Finance, Technology and Operations teams, you will play a key role in modernising tax processes while ensuring compliance with an evolving regulatory landscape.

The Opportunity As the Senior Tax Transformation Analyst, you will combine your strong financial services tax knowledge with technology and process improvement expertise to identify opportunities for automation, improve data quality and support the implementation of innovative tax solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive tax transformation initiatives across direct and indirect tax processes.
- Review and optimise tax workflows to improve efficiency, controls and governance.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes through AI and digital technologies.
- Partner with Finance, Technology, Data and Operations teams to implement tax technology solutions.
- Support the implementation, enhancement and optimisation of tax reporting systems.
- Improve the quality, integrity and accessibility of tax data used for compliance and reporting.
- Analyse large financial datasets to identify risks, trends and opportunities for process improvements.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements across the financial services business.
- Assist with tax governance, controls and risk management initiatives.




- Develop dashboards and reporting solutions that provide meaningful tax insights.
- Keep abreast of emerging tax technology, AI capabilities and changes in financial services taxation.

About You

You will bring a combination of solid tax technical knowledge and a passion for technology and innovation.

You will have:

- 5+ years' experience in corporate tax, financial services tax or tax advisory.
- Experience within financial services, banking, funds management, asset management or wealth management.
- Strong understanding of Australian taxation including corporate income tax, GST and tax reporting requirements.
- Exposure to tax transformation, process improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
- Experience working with tax technology or finance technology platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Highly Regarded Experience with one or more of the following would be advantageous:

- Alteryx
- Power BI
- Power Query
- Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps)
- SQL
- Python
- SAP
- Oracle
- Workday
- OneSource
- CCH
- Thomson Reuters tax technology solutions
- AI tools including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise or other GenAI platforms used within finance and tax functions.
