We deliver services across the ACT covering children, families, young people and seniors including housing and mental health services.

Join our Quality, Compliance & Risk team as a Policy Officer, where you'll play a key role in developing, reviewing and maintaining organisational policies, procedures and governance documents. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to strong governance, risk management and service excellence outcomes.

About the Role

- Develop, review and maintain policies,



procedures and governance documents.
- Support policy harmonisation and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and coordinate policy updates.
- Engage with stakeholders to support policy development and implementation.
- Assist with audit, accreditation, compliance and governance activities.
- Maintain policy registers, document control systems and reporting requirements.

About You

- Passionate about governance, compliance and organisational improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Collaborative and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset.

Experience and Qualifications:

- Experience developing, reviewing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of legislative, regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Strong research, policy analysis and report writing skills.
- Proven stakeholder consultation and facilitation experience.
- Experience supporting organisational change and continuous improvement.
- Strong project coordination and document management skills.
- Experience in community services, not-for-profit, health, aged care or human services sectors.
- Experience in governance, risk, quality or compliance functions.
- Experience working in a complex, multi-service organisation.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Policy, Governance, Business, Law or a related field.
