Powerhouse Engagement Volunteer - Powerhouse Castle Hill
About Powerhouse
Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. We are undertaking a landmark $1.3 billion infrastructure renewal program, led by the creation of Powerhouse Parramatta; expanded research and public facilities at Powerhouse Castle Hill; the heritage revitalisation of the iconic Powerhouse Ultimo; and the ongoing operation of Sydney Observatory.
About the Role

Join the Powerhouse team as a Powerhouse Engagement Intern and help activate the Powerhouse Castle Hill platform through informal, collection-based experiences. Working alongside museum staff and volunteers, you will support spotlight talks, object encounters and hands-on activities inspired by the Powerhouse Collection.
As part of the internship, you will research an object connected to science, social history or design and explore its potential to inform a public program with wellbeing outcomes.
You will develop a short multimedia presentation outlining your research, proposed program approach and anticipated perks for audiences.
