Diamond Hills Preschool (DHPS) is a community-based kinder run by a volunteer parent committee. Our service is a child safe organisation and we strongly uphold our child safety policies and procedures. Our experienced teaching team provide a warm, creative and stimulating environment for children.
With a play orientated approach that is designed to challenge and appeal to the individual abilities and interests of each child, we encourage children to be active participants in their learning. Since 1986, Diamond Hills Preschool has worked with local children and families in the Diamond Valley and Nillumbik area and is rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standards. We are also fortunate to have a brand new, purpose-built kinder building!

We are seeking an enthusiastic Pre-School Operations Manager to become a valued member of our welcoming community kindergarten. This diverse and rewarding role is ideal for someone who enjoys administration, organisation, relationship building and supporting an eceeding early childhood education service.
Working alongside our experienced educators and volunteer Committee of Management, you will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our not-for-profit, community-run kindergarten, creating a positive experience for children, families and staff. No two days are the same, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a diverse and meaningful role.
About the Role This is a rewarding and varied administrative role supporting our Committee of Management and education team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our community-run kindergarten. As a key member of our team, you will: Be the welcoming first point of contact for families, visitors and the wider community, providing exceptional interpersonal skills and building positive relationships. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Nominated Supervisor, Educational Leader, Committee of Management and staff team, helping ensure the kindergarten operates efficiently. Support the kindergarten to meet its obligations under the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010, National Regulations and the Kindergarten Funding Guide. Liaise with external organisations, including the Department of Education, ELAA, local government and other service providers as required. Maintain accurate enrolment, attendance and compliance records, ensuring administrative systems and documentation remain current and well organised. Assist the Enrolment Officer with enrolment administration, orientation processes and family communications. Support policy reviews, quality improvement initiatives and other operational and governance requirements.
Coordinate a range of administrative tasks, including correspondence, document management and reporting. Attend monthly onsite Committee of Management meetings, staff meetings, and provide administrative support, including meeting preparation and minute taking. Contribute to a welcoming, collaborative and community-focused environment where children, families and staff feel supported.

Current Working with Children Check. National Police Check (or willingness to obtain). Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain). Current Child Protection training (or willingness to complete). A genuine commitment to child safety and inclusive practice. Certificate in Early childhood or greater (desriable)
