The Insurance Duck Creek Business Analyst / Test Analyst will act as a key liaison between business stakeholders, delivery teams, QA teams and technical specialists to support the successful implementation and enhancement of Duck Creek insurance solutions. The role involves analysing insurance business processes, eliciting and documenting business and functional requirements, supporting solution design, preparing and executing functional test scenarios, validating delivered functionality, supporting defect management, and assisting with user acceptance activities to ensure that Insurance domain knowledge, Duck Creek solutions meet agreed business objectives.

Key Skills and Experience

- Strong experience in insurance domain processes, preferably P&C; insurance, with practical exposure to policy administration, billing, claims and related insurance workflows.
- Experience in Duck Creek implementation, configuration support, business process analysis or functional solution delivery across modules such as Policy, Billing, Claims and/or Insights.
- Ability to elicit, analyse and document business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, business rules and acceptance criteria.
- Working knowledge of Duck Creek Author, Rating, Forms and related platform capabilities.
- Familiarity with integration concepts such as APIs, web services, middleware and data exchange between insurance platforms and enterprise systems.
- Ability to interpret data models,



workflow designs and business rules in the context of insurance platform implementation.
- Practical experience in functional testing, system integration testing support, regression testing support, test scenario preparation, defect triage and UAT support in an insurance platform or enterprise application environment.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, problem-solving and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities Business Analysis and Requirements

- Engage with business stakeholders to understand insurance business needs, operational issues, regulatory considerations and desired business outcomes for Duck Creek initiatives.
- Conduct workshops, interviews and process analysis sessions to elicit and document business requirements, functional requirements, process flows, business rules and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories for configuration, development and delivery teams.
- Validate requirements with stakeholders and assist with prioritisation of features, enhancements and project deliverables.

Solution Design and Duck Creek Functional Support

- Support the design of scalable and adaptable Duck Creek solutions aligned to current and future business needs.
- Maintain an end-to-end understanding of insurance business processes and their mapping to Duck Creek modules, including Policy, Billing, Claims and/or Insights.
- Work with architects, developers and configuration teams to ensure that business requirements are correctly interpreted and reflected in the functional design.
- Contribute to solution options, functional design decisions and configuration considerations involving Duck Creek Author, Rating, Forms and related capabilities.
- Support integration analysis involving CRM systems, data warehouses, external APIs and other enterprise applications.

Stakeholder Liaison and Delivery Governance

- Act as a liaison between business users, project teams and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, solution walkthroughs, project reviews and demonstrations to confirm business alignment.
- Track requirement clarifications, decisions, risks, issues and dependencies relevant to business and functional delivery.




- Support delivery governance by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring that agreed requirements and solution decisions are traceable.

Testing, Solution Validation and Quality Support

- Prepare, review and execute functional test scenarios, business process test cases and acceptance criteria to confirm alignment with documented requirements and Duck Creek functional design.
- Participate in system testing, integration testing support, regression testing support and UAT preparation, particularly where insurance process knowledge or Duck Creek functional understanding is required.
- Log, analyse, prioritise and support triage of defects by clarifying expected business behaviour, functional design intent, reproduction steps and impact on business users.
- Support UAT execution, business sign-off and test closure activities by helping users understand delivered functionality, coordinating resolution of functional defects and confirming fixes against agreed requirements.
- Perform hands‑on functional validation of configured Duck Creek functionality where required, including policy, billing, claims, forms, rating, workflow and integration‑related scenarios, while maintaining a strong link to business analysis and requirements traceability.
- Prepare and maintain test artefacts such as test cases, test data notes, requirements traceability references, defect summaries, retest evidence and UAT support documentation.

Training, Documentation and Operational Readiness

- Prepare and maintain business requirements documents, functional specifications, process maps, solution notes, configuration documentation and operational process guides.
- Develop or assist with training materials and knowledge transfer sessions for business users and project teams.
- Support adoption of Duck Creek functionality by explaining business process changes, system impacts and operational procedures.
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, configurations, decisions, test outcomes, defect status, validation results and post‑implementation learnings.
