About the Role:

As the Principal Advisor, you will:

- Provide leadership and direction in the planning and implementation of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support initiative, ensuring that the outcomes are aligned to, and supportive of, the department's agenda for improvement in schools.
- Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.

Responsibilities Include:

- Develop frameworks, systems and processes to ensure effective implementation of the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support initiative, including Positive Behaviour for Learning.
- Provide high level leadership, advice and support to regional and school leaders, and shape strategic thinking to promote and support establishment of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for student learning, wellbeing and behaviour.
- Assist regions and schools in the delivery and implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support using evidence-based student support practices to ensure all students are continuously engaged in learning.




- Provide authoritative and expert advice to school teams on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, including effective provision of targeted and differentiated student support, establishing and maintaining systems for data collection, analysis and data-based decision making.
- Contribute to the effective delivery and implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support through high quality professional learning and tailoring to individual region and school needs.
- Assist regional and school leaders to build capability in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and the effective use of strategies for safe, supportive, equitable and inclusive school learning environments.
- Coordinate, collect, analyse and manage integrated and targeted data reporting on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to track and verify implementation and support regions and schools with action planning.
- Provide high level leadership in facilitating the establishment and ongoing of effective partnerships and cultivate relationships and networks with all key stakeholders, including regional and school-based staff, to support implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
