Remuneration: $32.27 - $38.44 per hour

Hours Per Week: 21

Working Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm, must be available Tuesday and Wednesday. Remaining working days are negotiable.

You'll be part of a dedicated team that plays a vital role in supporting patient care, legal compliance and information governance across Western Sydney Local Health District. What you'll be doing





As a Health Information Release Officer, you will be responsible for managing and processing a high volume of Release of Information (ROI) requests in accordance with NSW Health legislation, privacy requirements and organisational policies. You will play a critical role in ensuring sensitive health information is released accurately, securely and within mandated timeframes.

Assess, process and coordinate ROI requests from patients, legal representatives, courts, police, insurers, coronial services, healthcare providers and internal stakeholders

Review, analyse and extract relevant information from electronic and paper-based health records while ensuring legislative compliance

Liaise with patients, consumers, hospital staff and external agencies to facilitate timely responses and resolve enquiries

Maintain accurate records, tracking systems and documentation within corporate record management systems, including HPRM

Monitor request timeframes, meet key performance indicators and support auditing, reporting and service continuity across the team

Bring your attention to detail,

Understanding of patient confidentiality, Release of Information policies & knowledge of health record processes

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time appropriately, prioritise workload and work under pressure

Demonstrated enthusiastic work ethic and the ability to and work as part of a team

Excellent computer skills across a variety of applications

Demonstrated attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative

Ability to work across multiple WSLHD facilities as required
