Paint group ENLVN PTY LTD trading as Paint Group is a leading Australian painting and decorating company specialising in residential, commercial, strata, industrial and remedial painting projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out surface preparation, applying paints and protective coatings, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards.

Task & responsibilities

- Examining plans, specifications and work instructions to determine project requirements and the materials required for each job. Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filling cracks and holes, cleaning surfaces, and sanding timber, plaster, concrete, metal and other materials. Applying primers, sealants and protective coatings to ensure durable and high-quality finishes.
- Mixing and matching paints, stains and coatings to achieve the required colours, textures and finishes. Applying paint, varnish, lacquer and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment and other specialised tools.



Measuring work areas and estimating the quantities of materials required for each project.
- Erecting and dismantling ladders, scaffolding and other access equipment while complying with workplace safety requirements. Carrying out decorative and protective finishing work in accordance with project specifications. Inspecting completed work to ensure quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Collaborating with project managers, clients and other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas in a protected, clean and organised condition. Following workplace health and safety policies and complying with all relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Assisting in the training and mentoring of junior team members where required.

Qualifications & experience

- At least Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification
- A minimum of one year of relevant full-time experience in the painting industry
- Experience working on residential, commercial and industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of painting materials, surface preparation methods and application techniques
- Experience operating spray-painting equipment and specialised tools
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- White Card and a current driver's licence (preferred)
