Principal TSF Engineer

- Key responsibilities include leading TSF operations and projects, ensuring compliance and risk management, monitoring tailings performance and providing technical guidance and stakeholder support.

The Role The role of the Principal TSF Engineer is to provide technical support for the design, operations, construction, maintenance, monitoring and compliance activities to support the ongoing development of the tailings storage facilities and associated infrastructure primarily at the Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana, and as needed elsewhere across the Perseus Group. The Principal TSF Engineer will support site operations and corporate teams to ensure that Perseus meets its technical, environmental stewardship, corporate and legal requirements and objectives.

The role can be based at either our Perth Head Office or from our Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana.

About You To succeed in this role, you are an experienced tailings engineer who combines technical expertise, strong stakeholder engagement and a commitment to safety, compliance and operational excellence.

Our ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in previous mine tailings technical roles.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Science, in a discipline relevant to tailings and water science, engineering and management (e.g., Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering).
- Membership of an internationally recognised and relevant engineering body (e.g., Engineers Australia; Engineering Council of South Africa, Ghana Institution of Engineering).
- Proven tailings management experience relating to planning, investigations, designs,



construction, operations, maintenance, surveillance and monitoring.
- Project / Study management experience, including scheduling, budgeting and costing.
- Working knowledge of ANCOLD, ICMM, GISTM and other relevant tailings standards and guidelines.
- High attention to detail with regards to technical review and compliance.
- Self-driven leadership and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, reporting and interpersonal skills across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders from different cultures.
- Ability to balance quality and technical excellence with delivery to risk, timelines and cost.

It would be beneficial if you have:

- Proven working experience on TSFs in a design and consulting capacity.
- Experience in mine tailings technical and management roles for African projects.

Where you’ll be working This position offers flexibility to be based either at Perseus’ corporate office in Subiaco, Western Australia or at our Edikan Gold Mine in Ghana, depending on the successful candidate's location and suitability for the role.
