TRILITY is seeking a Process Controller - Mechanical to join the Operations team at the Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre in Kemps Creek NSW.
Use your skills in all facets of wastewater treatment plant operations and mechanical maintenance of specialised equipment.
The role
As a Process Controller at the new Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (USC AWRC), you will be a key member of the operations team and will be accountable for the operational performance of the AWRC and use your skills to oversee mechanical maintenance activities. You will be capable of working on your own and assuming total responsibility for plant operation. You will be based at USC AWRC in Kemps Creek in Western Sydney.
The role also requires the flexibility to be a part of an on-call roster system and the willingness to respond immediately to telemetry alarms during non-working hours when on call.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure TRILITY systems for Safety, Quality and Environment are used and that all activities undertaken comply with approved plans
- Oversee and participate in the commissioning of the facility.
- Be responsible for functional inspections and acceptance of mechanical and electrical (where applicable) equipment and verification of plant performance.
- Undertake mechanical maintenance activities (both planned and unplanned)
- Process control including ordering of chemicals and receiving deliveries, verifying documentation and liaising with the client on demand and flow changes
- Monitoring of plant performance including process equipment and responding to plant and process alarms
- Project management duties including liaising with suppliers and contractors, procurement of goods, materials and services, supervision of contractors, commissioning, risk assessments etc
- Conduct sampling and analysis and liaise with external laboratory(s) as required
What we are looking for
- Experience in operation and maintenance of wastewater or similar facilities
- Mechanical trade qualification.
- Familiarity in use of PC’s and a range of software
- A current Australian Driver’s license
- Be able to work as part of an on-call roster.
- Possess a high level of maturity, with the ability to make decisions with minimal direction and guidance
- A reliable team member and be an effective communicator with valuable interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
- Able to work independently for long periods
- Cert 3 in Water/Wastewater operations highly regarded and training provided.
