Mighty Good Food Group (MGFG) is a proudly Toowoomba-based FMCG business and the home of Jim’s Jerky and Jimmie’s Beef Bites — quality Australian meat snacks with a growing presence in major retail and an eye on international markets.

The role

This position has opened up as maternity cover — but we’ll be upfront: we’re growing, and we’re looking for someone who wants to stay. The right person won’t be going anywhere when the cover period ends.

As Procurement Officer, you’ll sit right at the heart of the business. Half your time will be managing procurement — suppliers, purchase orders, stock, costs. The other half will be supporting our sales account team — helping keep our retail and wholesale customers happy and our orders flowing smoothly. It’s a genuinely wide-ranging role and no two days will look the same.

What you’ll do

Procurement

- Own day-to-day purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies
- Build and manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and delivery terms
- Raise and track purchase orders, monitor stock, and prevent supply gaps
- Maintain procurement records and contribute to cost-saving initiatives

Sales account support





- Support the sales team with order processing, fulfilment coordination, and customer communication
- Liaise between procurement and sales to match stock availability with customer demand
- Help prepare account summaries, reports, and sales documentation
- Assist with new customer onboarding and promotional support

What we’re looking for

- 2+ years in a procurement, purchasing, or supply chain role — FMCG or food manufacturing experience is a big plus
- Comfortable juggling purchasing and customer-facing responsibilities
- Sharp with numbers, organised, and high attention to detail
- Confident communicator — with suppliers and with internal teams
- Experience with Odoo, Xero, or similar systems is advantageous
- A proactive self-starter who doesn’t need to be told twice
- Genuine desire to grow with a business, not just fill a seat
- Forklift license a plus
