As we continue to expand into global markets, we are seeking an experienced product compliance professional who is committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance across international markets.

The Opportunity

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for product safety, certification and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Combining strategic oversight with hands-on involvement across product development, certification and compliance activities, you will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, Quality, suppliers, testing laboratories and certification bodies to develop certification strategies, influence product design and ensure compliance requirements are embedded throughout the product development lifecycle.

Your technical leadership will help bring innovative products to market by ensuring product safety, certification and regulatory compliance are considered from concept through to global market release.

Key Responsibilities

· Own and lead product safety, certification and regulatory compliance across the product portfolio.

· Develop certification strategies for current products and emerging technologies.





· Guide engineering teams in applying compliance-by-design principles throughout product development.

· Manage certification programs, testing activities and relationships with certification bodies and testing laboratories.

· Provide technical leadership for hazardous area certification, including IECEx, ATEX and UL requirements.

· Support compliance activities for connected products, wireless technologies and smart lighting systems.

· Lead compliance governance, standards management and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Support internal and external audits and maintain effective compliance systems across the business.

· Monitor changes to international standards and provide technical guidance to engineering and manufacturing teams.

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline.

· Extensive experience in product safety, certification and regulatory compliance.

· Demonstrated experience managing product certification programs from concept through to market release.

· Strong understanding of electrical product safety standards and international certification processes.

· Experience working with certification bodies, testing laboratories and regulatory authorities.

· Excellent technical writing, communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to interpret complex standards and translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Highly Regarded





Experience across several of the following areas:

· IECEx, ATEX, UL 844 or the IEC 60079 series.

· EMC, CE, RCM, FCC, RED or other international approval frameworks.

· Connected products, wireless technologies or industrial IoT.

· DALI, D4i, Zhaga or other smart lighting ecosystems.

· Industrial, hazardous area or infrastructure products.

· ISO 9001 Quality Management systems, internal auditing and compliance governance.
