Senior Materials Planner- Melbourne-based (Hybrid)
The Role
Join Bega Group as a Senior Materials Planner and play a key role in supporting the Supply Chain through the execution of materials planning strategies. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining operational planning responsibilities with the leadership, coaching and development of a team of three Materials Planners. You'll partner with sites, suppliers and key stakeholders to drive service outcomes, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement across a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of escalation for material supply issues and facilitate problem-solving activities across your category.
- Manage inventory holdings, monitor supply risks and ensure proactive communication with key stakeholders.
- Coordinate new product development and change activities while managing obsolescence risks.
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers, sites and internal teams to improve planning outcomes and business performance.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost avoidance and value creation initiatives across the supply chain.
About You
- Experience in materials planning, supply planning, inventory management or a similar supply chain role
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and M3, data management and planning processes
- Proven ability to work autonomously, lead small teams and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- A continuous improvement mindset with solid problem-solving and project management capabilities
