We are a leading Australian food manufacturer, producing a wide range of bakery products enjoyed across retail, foodservice, and export markets. With strong growth ahead, we’re seeking dedicated Production Assistants to support our day-to-day operations and ensure we deliver quality baked goods to our customers.

The Opportunity

As a Production Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in our factory team, working closely with the Production Team Leader and Shift Supervisor. You’ll support the preparation, packing, and processing of baked products while ensuring quality standards, safety, and efficiency are met. This is a hands-on role that requires energy, teamwork, and flexibility.

What You’ll Do

- Work on packing lines: checking quality, loading/unloading machines and trays, and handling bread crates.
- Move cold products to/from freezers.
- De-pan pies from crates and stack into machines.
- Operate equipment as instructed and supervised.
- Monitor and report on critical control points (CCPs).
- Maintain product quality while minimising waste.
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment at the end of production.
- Record and maintain accurate documentation.




- Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and other departments.

What You’ll Bring

- Reliable transport to work (potential start times as early as 5am).
- Availability to work 3–5 days per week.
- Physical capacity to handle repetitive lifting and moving of trays/crates up to 15kg.
- Basic understanding of food production methods.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to take direction.
- Basic math skills to recalculate recipes and quantities when required.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work shifts between 5am and 5pm as required.
