Due to our constant growth, we are looking for a Production Manager to support our projects in Sydney, Australia.
The ideal candidate brings a broad understanding of the pharmaceutical lifecycle - ideally across Process Engineering, MS&T;, Quality and Operations - and holds a strong track record in biologics or sterile liquid manufacturing within top-tier pharmaceutical organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational & Technical Leadership: Oversee day-to-day high-value, low-volume manufacturing operations in strict compliance with cGMP and global regulatory standards.
- Process & MS&T; Integration: Leverage deep technical and engineering knowledge to oversee complex bioprocesses, scale-up/tech transfers and continuous process verification in collaboration with MS&T.;
- Cross-Functional Management: Bridge operations across Engineering, Quality, and Production to streamline workflows, resolve technical deviations and ensure robust audit-readiness.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing production team, instilling a culture of technical precision, safety and accountability.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive operational excellence (Lean/Six Sigma) initiatives to optimize yield, minimize risk and ensure flawless execution of high-value product campaigns.
About you:
- Experience: Proven track record as a Production Manager or high-level Production Lead in a top-tier pharmaceutical company .
- Technical Background: Strong background in Process Engineering, MS&T;, Quality, or Operations , with a transparent career progression into production management.
- Domain Expertise: Direct experience in Biologics , Sterile Liquids , or specialized low-volume/high-value environments (e.g., vaccines, viral vectors, aseptic processing).
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Bio/Pharmaceutical) or Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry).
- Broad Industry Insight: Experience working across multiple departments (e.g., QA, MS&T;, Engineering, Operations) is highly desirable.
- Leadership & Strategy: Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills in high-stakes environments.
