APG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and driven Afternoon Shift Production Manager to join a well-known poultry production team in Wingfield.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader with a robust background in food manufacturing to oversee production operations, drive performance, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.
About the Role:
As the Afternoon Shift Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for achieving maximum productivity, managing staff and workflow, and maintaining a safe, high-performing workplace. You'll work closely with the Site Manager and other key departments including QA, Maintenance, and Distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day production operations in line with KPIs
- Oversee staffing, planning, and labour utilisation
- Drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS, GMP, and other standards
- Conduct training, risk assessments,
and performance reviews
- Maintain a collaborative relationship with internal teams
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a production leadership role, ideally in food processing or FMCG
- Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety, and quality systems
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead large teams and manage high-pressure production targets
- Knowledge of yields, weights, and product flow in poultry or meat processing highly regarded
