Haars Nursery is one of Australia’s largest wholesale production nurseries growing and supplying quality plants at scale across multiple production sites, nationwide. Now, we are looking to appoint an experienced Production Site Manager to take ownership of day-to-day site operations, driving production, people, safety and continuous improvement outcomes.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead production teams across multiple sites, driving safety, productivity, people development and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring travel between sites across Melbourne.
About You
You are a confident, hands-on operations leader who thrives on accountability. You will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in Production Management, ideally within horticulture, agriculture or manufacturing.
- Proven experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams of 20+ people across multiple sites or departments
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise, multitask and remain calm under pressure
- A track record of successfully introducing and leading change in a work environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A current driver’s licence and the flexibility to travel regularly between sites
- Lean Management training or relevant tertiary qualifications are a plus but not essential.
