ABOUT ENPNT

ENPNT is a Melbourne-based startup building a purpose-built platform for the dance industry. Dance is a global, passionate, and underserved market — one that has never had technology truly designed around how studios, teachers, students, and families actually operate. We are changing that.

Our app is focused initially on the Australian market, where we are already gaining strong traction with dance studios across the country. But the ambition is global — and the early signals back that up. We have already attracted significant interest from studios internationally, and we are building the platform from day one to scale across borders.

We move fast, take ownership seriously, and believe that the right people, empowered to make real decisions, can achieve extraordinary things. We are looking for our first in-house senior technical hire to help shape the architecture of our platform and the culture of our engineering function.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a rare chance to join a well-funded startup at a formative stage. As an Analyst Programmer in small team, you will be involved in every technical decision the company makes. You will report directly to the CTO and work closely with the broader management team. This is not a heads-down implementation role. You will have a genuine voice in what we build, how we build it, and the standards we hold ourselves to.

The person who succeeds in this role will grow with the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership & Architecture

- Participate technical strategy in collaboration with the CTO, providing informed recommendations on technology choices, architecture, and build-vs-buy decisions
- Involved in defining and enforcing engineering standards, coding best practices, and quality assurance processes
- Design, develop,

and maintain core systems and platform components across the full stack
- Design and develop agentic AI coding practices, be on the cutting edge of the technology.

Delivery & Execution

- Communicate with the business and customers to define requirements, design features, develop and test end to end.
- Identify and manage technical debt, balancing short-term delivery pressure with long-term maintainability
- Experience in data analytics and metrics to track the progress of the app and its usage.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

- 1-3 years of experience in software development, with a strong foundation in full-stack engineering
- Comfortable working across the stack — from database design and API development to front-end implementation
- Demonstrated, hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted development — including the use of tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex or similar — for new feature development, code generation, and accelerating delivery
- Practical experience applying AI tools to code maintenance, debugging, and bug resolution — not just greenfield work
- Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Excellent communication skills — able to engage credibly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A bias for action, with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, quick-moving environments

Highly Regarded

- Degree in IT or Engineering
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps/CI-CD practices

- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks or LLM-based tooling beyond code assistants
- Experience contributing to technical roadmap planning and commercial discussions

WHAT WE OFFER

- Competitive base salary benchmarked to senior market rates in Melbourne
- Performance bonus tied to individual and company outcomes
- Equity participation — we want you to own a piece of what we build
- A collaborative, high-trust environment where your voice will be heard
- The chance to help build something from the ground up and grow a team around you
- Modern, well-appointed offices on St Kilda Road with excellent transport access

WORK ARRANGEMENT This role is based at ENPNT’s offices on St Kilda Road, Melbourne. Candidates will be expected to work on-site a minimum of four days per week. This is a role that thrives on in-person collaboration, and we believe presence matters at this stage of the company’s journey.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

You are a technically strong, commercially aware engineer who is ready for more than a coding role. You are energised by the pace and autonomy of a startup, and you want the work you do to have a direct, visible impact. You are comfortable with ambiguity, confident enough to push back, and humble enough to listen. You want to be at the table when decisions are made — and you are ready to own the outcomes.w
