Work spans water and wastewater renewal programs, planned and reactive repairs and maintenance, and management of related services as required. Role Description The Project Engineer role at GCISolutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Helensvale, QLD.

The Project

Engineer oversees the planning, coordination, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing project plans and schedules, reviewing designs and technical documentation, coordinating with field crews and subcontractors, and monitoring progress against milestones. The role involves resolving technical issues,



supporting electrical and mechanical aspects of project delivery, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and City of Gold Coast requirements.

The Project

Engineer also prepares reports, maintains accurate project records, and collaborates with stakeholders to support continuous improvement in asset performance and reliability.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to liaise with internal teams, contractors, and client representatives.
- Demonstrated Project Management and Project Planning capabilities in infrastructure or construction environments.
- Applied experience in Project Engineering, preferably within water, wastewater, or related civil infrastructure projects.
- Relevant Electrical Engineering knowledge or experience supporting projects involving electrical systems and controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
- Proficiency with project management tools, technical documentation, and MS Office applications.
- Sound understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards applicable to water and sewerage networks.
- Ability to work effectively on-site, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
