One of Canberra's most iconic commercial builders is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join the delivery team on a landmark $100M+ Commercial D&C; Project.

Your new role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery team to ensure critical project milestones are achieved. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Lead subcontractor package development during the ECI phase, driving buildability, quality, and design outcomes.
- Partner with the Commercial Team to tender, procure, and onboard key subcontractors for project delivery.
- Coordinate consultants and subcontractors to resolve design issues, manage RFIs, and review shop drawings.
- Provide technical leadership throughout construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, NCC, and Australian Standards.
- Manage procurement schedules, material deliveries, and trade coordination to keep works on programme.
- Maintain project quality and documentation, including ITPs, QA records, progress reporting, and site correspondence.
- Support commercial outcomes through progress claims, variation management, and subcontractor performance monitoring.

What you'll need to succeed

- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management,



Engineering, or a related discipline
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Project Engineer on commercial projects built form projects
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and technical drawings
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to manage subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams
- Working knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC, and WHS regulations
- Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Aconex, or similar platforms
