Business Development Manager - Industrial Products

A well-established industrial supplier with a strong reputation across Australia is looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to cover Victoria. This is a true external sales role focused on generating current business, developing existing customers and growing market share across the state.

You’ll be selling a broad range of industrial products including fluid power solutions, bearings, power transmission products, hydraulics, pneumatics, industrial hose, engineering consumables and maintenance products into a diverse customer base.

Your customers will include manufacturers, food & beverage producers, OEMs, engineering companies, transport, infrastructure and general industrial businesses.

The Role

This is a field-based sales role where you’ll spend the majority of your time in front of customers identifying opportunities, securing new business and building long-term relationships.

- Generating new business across Victoria through proactive prospecting and customer visits
- Managing and growing an established customer portfolio
- Selling fluid power, bearings, power transmission and industrial maintenance products
- Developing relationships with maintenance managers, engineering managers, procurement teams and business owners
- Identifying opportunities for larger supply agreements and contract business




- Working closely with internal sales and technical support teams to deliver solutions for customers
- Managing your sales pipeline and consistently achieving growth targets

About You

This opportunity will suit an experienced Business Development Manager or External Sales Representative with a background selling industrial or technical products.

Experience within any of the following industries would be highly regarded:

- Industrial Distribution
- Industrial Hose & Fittings
- Industrial Automation

To be successful, you will have:

- A proven track record of winning new business
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills
- A genuine passion for external sales
The ability to manage a large Victorian territory autonomously
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills

- Base salary $110k - $130k. We are open to negotiating further for the right person
