Job Description

ETERNAL AIR PTY LTD As an Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of residential and commercial air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems. You will work closely with our installation and service teams to deliver high-quality HVAC solutions while ensuring compliance with Australian standards and workplace safety requirements.

Task & responsibilities

- Interpret technical drawings, specifications and work orders to determine installation requirements.
- Install air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation systems for residential and commercial projects.
- Mark out installation reference points and install mounting brackets and associated equipment.
- Drill, cut, bend and thread pipework for refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Install, repair and replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, switches, gauges, valves and related components.
- Connect refrigeration and air conditioning equipment using brazing, soldering and welding techniques.
- Pressure test systems, identify leaks and carry out repairs where required.
- Evacuate systems using vacuum pumps and recharge systems with the appropriate refrigerant.
- Test,



commission and adjust systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
- Diagnose faults, overhaul refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, and replace defective components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on HVAC systems.
- Complete service reports and accurately record maintenance activities, faults identified and corrective actions taken.
- Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, environmental regulations and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Provide professional customer service and maintain positive client relationships while on site.

Qualification & experience

- Cert III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
- Minimum one/two years' relevant industry experience across Class 2 and commercial projects.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience with installation, servicing and repair of residential and commercial HVAC systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Current driver’s licence.
