The Prospect

We're looking for qualified Mechanical Fitters, Mechanical Technicians or Diesel Fitters to join our expanding Mechanical Maintenance team.

Based from our Dalby workshop, you'll support a diverse range of clients across Queensland,



working across the full asset lifecycle—from preventative maintenance and breakdown response through to major engine and compressor overhauls, commissioning and project work.

No two weeks look the same. While your home base is Dalby, much of our work is performed at client sites throughout Queensland. Regular overnight travel forms part of this role, offering variety, exposure to different sites and equipment, and the opportunity to work across a broad range of industries and projects. Flexibility to travel and adapt to changing operational requirements is essential.

You'll gain exposure to a broad range of gas compression, power generation and rotating equipment, working across leading OEM platforms including Caterpillar, Waukesha, Ariel, Superior, Gemini and more. Supported by experienced technicians and equipped with high-quality tooling and resources, you'll have the opportunity to continually broaden your technical capability across maintenance, diagnostics, major overhauls and project work.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on gas engines, compressors and rotating equipment.
- Diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns safely and efficiently.
- Complete major engine and compressor overhauls.
- Assist with equipment installation, commissioning and project work.
- Conduct equipment inspections, condition monitoring and reporting.
- Complete maintenance documentation and work records.
- Take pride in your workspace by maintaining Entec's tooling, equipment and workshop facilities to the highest standard.
- Champion a proactive safety culture through hazard identification, risk management and compliance with company and client requirements.
- Engineering/Mechanical Trade Qualification (Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Fitter, Automotive Mechanic, Fitter & Turner or equivalent).
- Current unrestricted C Class Driver Licence (or higher).
- Construction White Card.
- Willingness to travel and work across varying locations and working arrangements as required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.

Advantageous

- Relevant OEM training or certifications.
- High Risk Work Licence (LF, EWP, DG, Telehandler).
- Type B – Repair and Maintain Stationary Gas Fuelled Reciprocating Engines.
