Advanced Pharmacy Australia – Melbourne VIC

The role of the Marketing and Communications Specialist is to drive the online presence of Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha), and the reach and uptake of key products, programs and resources, including the recent Perioperative Medicines resource and associated deliverables.

As a key part of the Strategic Communications team, working closely with the Member Experience team, the role involves developing, drafting and delivering digital marketing campaigns, and producing clear and engaging member and customer communications, to:

Grow member numbers, and engagement with key member benefits and initiatives, including online networking platforms and the Perioperative Medicines resource

Drive sales of products and programs, including clinical publications, pharmacy education and key events such as its annual Medicines Management Conference.

This role can be structured as part-time or full-time, between 16–38 hours per week (negotiable) based on the right fit — please indicate your preferred hours in your application.

Marketing and social media

- Design and implement comprehensive digital communications and marketing plans aligned with AdPha’s growth objectives.

- Develop innovative campaigns across email, social media, website, and online advertising featuring AdPha’s keystone programs, targeting prospective members and customers.

- Collaborate with internal SMEs to tailor digital content that supports local outreach efforts and regional campaigns.

- Ensure compelling digital content aligns with brand voice, messaging, and strategic goals, across all written and visual formats.

- Manage and grow social media channels and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistently positive and creative online presence.

- Manage online marketing budgets and relationships with external partners.

Member communications

- Collate and disseminate notices, articles and promotions of member benefits and opportunities through digital channels.

- Co-develop member acquisition and renewal campaigns with the Member Experience team and relevant stakeholders.

- Support the modernisation of member channels, optimising usage of AdPha Communities, to enhance the sharing of AdPha information with current and prospective members.

Reporting

- Track and analyse relevant data from marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

- Collate monthly and quarterly reports on digital marketing budget and outcomes.

Other

- Other duties as required.

Required skills

Essential

- Excellent track record in digital marketing, particularly in not-for-profit professional services or B2C NFP agency.

- Strong strategic planning and campaign development capabilities.

- Excellent capacity to plan, draft/record and finalise attention-grabbing content across different media.





- Understanding of Australian health care and evolving professional landscapes.

- Excellent ability to simplify complex information for a variety of audiences.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and outstanding attention to detail.

- Proficiency in common graphic design and video creation tools (e.g. Canva) to develop clear, engaging visual assets for communication and promotion.

- Ability to identify, engage and partner with diverse stakeholders to realise mutual benefit.

- Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills.

- Highly personable, goal-oriented and well-organised.

Desirable

- Graduate or postgraduate degree in marketing, visual media or related disciplines.

- In-depth knowledge of hospital pharmacy and understanding of profession trends.

- Experience working in representative or member organisations.
