About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced QSE Advisor to join our South Australian team, based on projects around Adelaide
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will play a key role in promoting and embedding Delta Group's Quality, Safety and Environmental (QSE) Management System across our South Australian operations.
Working closely with project teams, operational leaders and the National QSE team, you will provide practical advice, coaching and support to ensure compliance with legislation, industry best practice and Delta Group's high safety standards. This role will see you regularly visiting project sites, facilitating risk management initiatives and contributing to the continuous improvement of our QSE systems and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and promote Delta Group's Quality, Safety and Environmental Management System.
- Provide practical QSE advice and support to project teams across South Australia.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits,
safety observations and compliance reviews.
- Facilitate project risk assessments, risk workshops and support the development of management plans and safe work methodologies.
- Lead incident reporting, investigations and corrective action processes.
- Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, safety alerts and ongoing QSE communications.
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and customer requirements.
- Coordinate training requirements, maintain the training matrix and assist with competency management.
- Compile and prepare monthly QSE reports, statistics and compliance data.
- Support tender submissions by contributing to QSE documentation where required.
- Coach and mentor employees, supervisors and managers to strengthen safety leadership and continuous improvement.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams, subcontractors, customers and key stakeholders.
About You You are a proactive and influential safety qualified who enjoys working closely with operational teams to achieve positive safety outcomes. You are confident engaging with people at all levels,
have strong investigative and problem-solving skills and are passionate about creating safer workplaces.
To be successful, you will possess:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety as a minimum (Diploma highly regarded).
- Previous experience in a QSE, WHS or HSE Advisor role within construction, civil, demolition, infrastructure or heavy industry.
- Sound knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and industry Codes of Practice.
- Experience conducting audits, site inspections and incident investigations.
- ICAM Investigation training or willingness to obtain.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
- Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong computer skills and experience maintaining safety management systems.
- Ability to work autonomously while building strong relationships across multiple projects.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout South Australia, including occasional overnight stays.
