Qualified Chef Wanted For Iconic Brisbane Restaurant .

A rare opportunity to work in a hatted restaurant in an iconic Brisbane heritage building. You'll get to work alongside our experienced and supportive team whilst cooking classic Roman cuisine with exceptional local and international produce. 1889 Enoteca serves traditional Roman fare with hand-made pasta, perfectly complemented by an extensive wine list showcasing rare, unique and artisan Italian producers with particular focus on natural wines. Our menu highlights the bold and gutsy flavours of Roman cuisine and shines a light on the traditional dishes of the ancient city using the best quality local ingredients.

We are searching for experienced individuals to join our professional kitchen brigade, specifically the following roles:

Qualified Chef and Apprentice Chef salaries' are highly competitive and relevant to position and experience The role will involve:

- Working in a 90+ cover classic Restaurant serving lunch & dinner 5 days a week
- Has previous experience within a busy restaurant or quality hotel
- Is interested in classical techniques and learning more about authentic Italian cuisine




- Wants to challenge themselves in a high volume kitchen and has the enthusiasm to succeed within a professional team

We’re looking for a who:

- Is approachable and has the desire to challenge themselves within a qualified team
- Has strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
- Can actively listen and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Has 2 years previous experience (for Qualified Chef) working in a standards focused restaurant or hotel

- EXPERIENCE

Suitable applicants will demonstrate experience operating in a similar role for a minimum two years (for Qualified Chef). Full-time salary based positions exist within the 1889 Enoteca team, applicants must be reliable and possess the appropriate trade certificate as well as prior experience in a similar role.
