About the Role:

A position has become available at Rātā Educare - Booth College of Mission (Upper Hutt) for a qualified teacher to join our wonderful, unique centre on a permanent basis.

Our centre is a home away from home where we value free play and a relationship focused approach to teaching and learning. We believe that our tamariki are masters of learning through play. We support their autonomy to explore, learn and grow in a spacious, well-prepared environment and enormous outdoor play space.

Ideally you will have a heart for serving the local community as our centre operates within a community hub where we focus on supporting our families with complete wraparound services.

Our ideal candidate will have:

- BEd/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification. New graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication skills, initiative and team spirit.
- Be passionate about supporting children in a relationship focused, play based learning environment
- An understanding and commitment to respectful teaching and caregiving
- An interest in the work of Magda Gerber (RIE), Emmi Pikler and Reggio Emilia are a bonus but full learning support will be provided if you are open and willing to learn.
- The ability to be a reflective educator.
- Flexible, self motivated and with a desire to grow professionally and be a reflective educator.
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality.

Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society' This role is permanent full time and hours worked will be 38.75 per week.

The starting salary for this role will fall between $58,334 and $93,818 gross per annum.

The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between $28.95 and $41.09.
