About Richmond Joinery
We're a Cambridge-based joinery business specialising in high-quality custom joinery for residential and commercial clients across the Hobart area and surrounds. Our work is the kind that makes a space - custom furniture, staircases, storage solutions, wardrobes, vanity units and office fit-outs.
The Role
Based out of our Cambridge workshop, you'll work across a mix of workshop manufacture and on-site installation on commercial and residential projects throughout greater Hobart and southern Tasmania. From time to time, the role may involve travel to projects elsewhere in Tasmania.
Day-to-day work includes:
- Custom furniture manufacture and installation
- Staircases and balustrade joinery
- Built-in storage, wardrobes and shelving solutions
- Vanity units and bathroom joinery
- Office and commercial fit-outs
- Reading and working to plans and shop drawings
- Keeping a protected, organised workshop
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III in Joinery (or recognised trade equivalent) — essential
- Minimum 2 years post-trade experience in a joinery environment
- Strong all-round skills across both workshop and site work
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated
- A good eye for detail and genuine pride in the finished product
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Current driver's licence (manual preferred)
What We Offer We're flexible on how the right person comes on board. Three options on the table:
Full-Time Employment — $42.00/hr + super + entitlements
Full leave entitlements and super contributions.
Casual Employment — $52.50/hr
Includes 25% casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements.
Subcontract (ABN) — $70.00/hr
