Quality Control Inspector
Location: Brendale, QLD
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site

We are seeking a motivated and experienced QC Inspector to join our growing Quality team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in manufacturing, machining, wellhead, valve, or oil & gas industries who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
About the Role
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for conducting receiving, in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications and company quality requirements.
The role also supports quality documentation, supplier documentation, calibration activities, traceability, customer witness inspections and non-conformance management to ensure products are delivered safely, compliantly and Right First Time.
This is a varied role combining workshop inspection activities with office-based quality documentation and coordination, providing an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience within manufacturing quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections of parts, assemblies and finished products, against engineering drawings, job routers, internal, customer other determined requirements.
- Conduct dimensional and thread inspections using precision measuring equipment and verify critical dimensions.
- Prepare CoC / Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs) packages and inspection reports.
- Review Material Test Certificates (MTRs), traceability records and maintain supplier documentation.
- Perform internal calibration and organize external calibration and maintain calibration register and records.
- Raise and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and support investigations where required.
- Maintain quality records, register and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with Workshop, office and other departments to resolve quality-related matters.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality and teamwork.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade qualification or Mechanical Engineering qualification (preferred), or equivalent industry experience.
- 3–5 years' experience in Quality Control within a manufacturing, machining or fabrication environment.
- Experience in wellhead, valve, oil & gas or similar mechanical industries is highly regarded.
- Ability to confidently interpret engineering, manufacturing and assembly drawings.
- Demonstrated experience using precision measuring equipment including micrometres, vernier calipers, thread gauges, depth gauges and other inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills including, ERP System and Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with NDE, coating and welding inspections would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of ISO, API or other industrial standards would be highly regarded.
